Academic Success Coach

Overview:
As an Academic Success Coach at the Bepko Learning Center, I facilitated individualized coaching sessions aimed at supporting students’ academic growth and overall success. My role involved working closely with a diverse range of students, helping them identify their strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Through personalized coaching and mentorship, I contributed to the development of effective academic strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

One-on-One Coaching:
I conducted personalized academic success coaching sessions, focusing on fostering reflective conversations. I used powerful questioning techniques to help students assess their performance and develop goal-oriented success plans.

Student Mentorship:
I provided mentorship and academic support to a diverse group of students, including first-year students, transfer students, and students experiencing academic difficulty. My goal was to empower students to succeed academically by offering resources and guidance tailored to their needs.

Facilitating Workshops:
In addition to one-on-one sessions, I facilitated various student success workshops on essential academic skills, including time management, note-taking, and exam preparation. These workshops were designed to enhance academic performance across the campus community.

Resource Advocacy:
I advocated for student success by connecting them with campus resources and support services, helping them navigate available academic and personal development opportunities.

Impact:
This role allowed me to develop essential skills in academic coaching, including effective communication, empathy, and problem-solving. I enjoyed helping students unlock their full potential and build the necessary skills to succeed in their academic journey.
